Koramangala · Bengaluru · 2015–2026
544 crore rupees of public works, traced bill by bill.
Every road, drain, footpath and park job in Koramangala that BBMP paid for, rebuilt from public government records: what was promised, who got the work, what was paid, what the paperwork says was done, and where questions remain. Every number links back to the record it came from.
Signals and cases here are observations for follow-up, not findings of wrongdoing. Most of the alarms we raised were later explained by documents (see below).
01 · The money, year by year
Payments peaked in 2025.
₹93.51 Crpaid in 2025 across 34 bills. Gross amounts by the date BBMP's treasury released each payment (RTGS). The public payment record starts in mid-2015.
Gross payments by payment year.
02 · One project, almost a third of the money
One work outweighs the next nine largest works combined.
30%of everything paid went to one job: Construction of Elevated corridor by integrating Ejipura main road-Inner Ring Road junctio… It is also the first open case: three completion dates have passed with no final bill.
The largest works
03 · Who was paid
165 payees. A few giants, one agency with many small jobs.
M/s KRIDL was paid for 92 different works (106 bills, ₹33.71 Cr), more works than any other payee, but at a fraction of the corridor's scale.
Payees as named on BBMP bills. One contract can have several payees (e.g. an escrow account for a successor contractor).
04 · What it was spent on
Mostly roads, drains and footpaths, plus one flyover.
Each work is classified from its own description. "Combined" works bundle asphalting, drains and footpaths in one job, the usual BBMP ward package.
05 · What the paper trail can prove
Payment is well documented. Plans and physical proof are not.
For each work, how many of the six stages have public evidence. Almost every work has bills; far fewer have a public plan or estimate, and no site photo carries a GPS location.

06 · 23 flagged, 18 set aside
We tried to explain every alarm before publishing it. Most of them dissolved.
Each tile is a project our signals flagged. We then read its work slips, final bills, work orders and extension orders. Struck-out tiles were explained (a second contract, an approved variation, a document filed under another name) or turned out to be data artefacts. The 5 dark tiles are questions the public record could not answer.
